Q: Youre renowned for your live performances. What can
fans expect this time around?
A: Ive formed a five-piece band for the shows across Australia
and asked Vika and Linda Bull to sing alongside me, so there will
be plenty of harmonies.
Q: Youve maintained strong momentum as a popular artist,
despite an occasional lack of commercial radio support. How do you
do it?
A: Consistently playing live makes the difference. Ive always
tried to make each performance different, so fans can stay interested
in whats happening.
Q: Which Aussie bands do you most admire at the moment?
A: I cant do my housework without listening to music, so Ive
sampled plenty of different tunes. I really like The Avalanches
record.
Q: Are you worried by the number of young performers chasing
15 minutes of fame on reality TV shows, instead of practising on
their guitars?
A: No, because pop has always provided the light-hearted side of
music. Those bands might be manufactured, but they dont sound
too bad, and they get the chance to dress up and act silly.
Q: Do you ever have the urge to act silly with your own music?
A: Well, actually Im a fool most of the time.
