VINYL PRODUCTION & PRINTING

  • Low carbon PVC compound achieved through bio-based materials, metal-free stabilisers, and reduced energy and water usage processes to reduce CO2 emissions by 92.5%
  • FSC-certified paper/card and vegetable-based inks used in all printed materials
  • No single-use plastics in packaging and paper inner sleeve
  • Shipping boxes made locally from 40% recycled paper, and are 100% recyclable
  • Produced using 100% renewable energy at Suitcase Records’ factory, which uses a closed-loop water system to minimise waste, and carbon offset natural gas used for steam as a more efficient, lower-CO2 alternative to electricity
  • Vinyl production materials sourced within 50km where possible, and carbon offsets used for longer distances
  • Near zero PVC compound waste:

  • Any unsold or unusable apparel is diverted to textile recycling (Upparel) instead of landfill
  • Road freight prioritised over air freight wherever possible to lower transport-related carbon emissions
  • 95% of blank apparel is supplied by Gildan or AS Colour. Both suppliers publish environmental and social reporting and operate with stated commitments to reducing environmental impact and responsible labour practices, with their commitments outlined below:
  • Locally-sourced, water-based ink options used that are free of volatile solvents and heavy metals, including ozone-depleting chemicals such as CFCs and HCFCs, and aromatic hydrocarbons
  • The printer also relies on solar energy at their factory, along with systematic waster recycling and managed disposal of general and ink waste
  • Screens are cleaned and reused to recycle and reduce solvents and chemical wastage
